The CATAN 6th Edition is set to debut in April 2025, marking an exciting update to my all time favorite board games. Celebrating 30 years of strategic gameplay, this refreshed edition brings enhanced visuals and improved components, making it a great buy for both long-time fans and newcomers.

Revamped Artwork and Packaging: The game now features a premium square-format box with vibrant, detailed artwork that immerses players in the world of CATAN.

Enhanced Components: Game tiles have been redesigned with naturalistic aesthetics that I would describe as Disney meets Catan (In a good way). The base game will comes with a new resource card holder. Additionally, the new edition features slightly larger roads, settlements and cities. Unfortunately, this means I'll need to replace my piece holders, but overall it should contribute to a nice look.
- Updated Rulebook: A clearer and more intuitive rulebook simplifies the learning curve for new players and serves as a quick reference for seasoned gamers.
My take, I love the art (and so do my kids). I have a feeling the new art will entice more impulse purchases made by families in the game isle.
